Man hospitalized from southwestern Minnesota stabbing; 2 in custody

A man is in the hospital after he was stabbed Sunday afternoon in southwestern Minnesota.

According to the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a report of a stabbing just after 2 p.m. at a residence on the 5400 block of 260th Avenue in rural Granite Falls.

The victim, a 45-year-old man, was airlifted to a hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. His condition is unknown.

Two suspects have been taken into custody, and there is no threat to the public, the sheriff's office said. 

The case remains under investigation.
