Man found dead in south Minneapolis, police investigating

Police are investigating after a man was found dead in south Minneapolis Tuesday morning.

According to Minneapolis Police, people near the 100 block of 59th Street East called 911 at 6:22 a.m. to report a man on the ground not moving. Officers arrived and found a man who was already dead.

Police said it appeared the man had suffered gunshot wounds.

No arrests had been made as of Tuesday morning.

The victim’s identity will be released at a later time after an autopsy is conducted.
