Man critically injured in Richfield shooting

A man was critically injured early Monday morning after a shooting in Richfield.

According to Richfield Police, a woman called Bloomington Police at 1:57 a.m. saying she’d just shot a man in a nearby apartment.

Officers responded to the apartment in the 1700 block of 75th Street West in Richfield and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Officers noticed he was still breathing and immediately provided care before he was transported to a hospital.

Police said the female suspect and other witnesses were taken to the Richfield Police Department for questioning.

Authorities said the shooting appears to be an isolated incident and there’s no threat to the public.
