Man critically injured after shooting in Stevens Square area of Minneapolis

A man was seriously injured Saturday after he was shot inside a car near Stevens Square Park in Minneapolis.
According to the Minneapolis Police Department, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of 18th Street East and Stevens Avenue South around 4:22 p.m. Police found a man sitting in a vehicle who appeared to have been shot.
Emergency personnel took the victim to a nearby hospital in critical condition, police said.
An investigation is underway to determine what happened and who might be involved.
