Man convicted in international sex trafficking operation sentenced

A 66-year-old man who was convicted in an international sex trafficking operating has been sentenced to federal prison.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Michael Morris was sentenced to over 17 years (208 months) in prison.

Morris and four other defendants were convicted for their roles in the operation in 2018.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the organization Morris was involved with coerced women from Thailand to engage in commercial sex acts in cities across the country, including Minneapolis.
