Man accused of trying to intimidate judge has charge dismissed

A man who was accused of trying to intimidate a Hennepin County judge has had his harassment charge dismissed.

Cortez Aaron Rice was charged with one count of harassment after protesting outside what he thought was Judge Regina Chu’s home on Nov. 6.

Court documents note Rice was calling for the trial of former Brooklyn Center police officer Kimberly Potter to be televised live.

On Friday, a judge dismissed the harassment charge against Rice, saying the state didn’t have enough probable cause.
