Local hospitals welcome the first babies of the year

M Health Fairview St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood welcomed its first baby of 2021 on Friday.
The M Health Fairview hospital’s first 2021 baby was born at 12:27 a.m.
"He seems like a really laid back, relaxed little babe," the baby’s mom, Melissa Hennessey said. "We’re excited to have a little sleepy snuggler to bring home to our family. I think we’re all looking forward to moving into the new year with a sense of peace and calm, and so far little John has certainly exhibited that calming presence for us!"
The baby’s name is John Robert Hennessey. He weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces.
North Memorial Health Hospital also welcomed its first baby of 2021.

Out of the three hospitals located in the Twin Cities, the Maple Grove North Memorial Health Hospital welcomed its first baby of the year at 12:44 a.m.
