LIST: Temporary Twin Cities restaurant closures around the new year
As 2021 closes out, a number of restaurants in the Twin Cities and metro area have announced temporary closures for a variety of reasons, many primarily related to COVID-19.
Here is a list:
- Owamni by The Sioux Chef – closed Dec. 30 – Jan. 2
- All reservations during the closure will be given priority for a winter 2022 reservation.
- The restaurant is taking a January break following the closure. It will reopen on Jan. 19, 2022, and starting on that date guests will need to provide proof of vaccination to dine.
- Martina – closed Dec. 29 – Jan. 2 for dining and to-go
- All reservations will be contacted to reschedule.

- Roselina – closed Dec. 29 – Jan. 2

- Estelle – dining closed until Jan. 10
- NYE dinner for two is available for takeout.

- Young Joni – closed for indoor dining Dec. 30 – Jan 9
- Completely closed Dec. 30 – Jan. 3.
- Offering takeout only Jan. 4 – Jan 8.
- Closed Jan. 9 and reopening for dining Jans 10.
- Blue Door Pub – indoor dining closed for both locations Dec. 31 – Jan. 2
- Both locations (Longfellow and University) will be offering takeout and delivery from Dec. 30 – Jan. 2.
