Lakeville police: man dies in hospital 1 day after Sept. 4 shooting

The victim of an early September shooting in Lakeville has died, Lakeville Police Chief Brad Paulson tells 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS.

The victim was previously reported as a 23-year-old man who was taken to the hospital for a life-threatening gunshot wound.

Paulson says the Hennepin County medical examiner will confirm the man’s identity.

Authorities are still investigating some of the circumstances surrounding the death, Paulson says.

No one has been arrested. However, police say there is still no reason to believe there is any public threat.
