Teen boy killed in Moorhead shooting

A teenage boy was killed in a shooting on Friday evening, the Moorhead Police Department announced.

Around 6:10 p.m., someone flagged down an officer, saying someone had been shot.

The juvenile was found in an area of trees nearby, and despite receiving first aid, he was pronounced deceased, police said.

The responsible person is currently being interviewed by law enforcement. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting in the investigation.
