Juvenile injured in shooting after a party in Brooklyn Park

A juvenile victim was shot in the leg Saturday night in Brooklyn Park, according to Brooklyn Park Police Department.

At 11:29 p.m., officers were on a scene of a loud party in the 7900 block of Beard Avenue North.

While monitoring the party’s dispersal, a shooting occurred in the 7900 block of Lad Parkway North.

According to officers, they moved on foot to the shooting scene and located one juvenile victim with a gunshot wound to the leg that is considered to be non-life-threatening.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The incident is under investigation. No further information was given at this time.
