Isanti County man sentenced to 24 years for producing child porn

A registered sex offender from Isanti County has been sentenced to over two decades in prison for producing child pornography.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says 39-year-old Russell James Anderson-Baldwin used Instagram, Snapchat and other social media apps to communicate with a minor. Between December 2019 and August 2020, he coerced the minor to make sexually explicit videos.

In total, prosecutors say Anderson-Baldwin created 286 sexually explicit videos of the minor, plus around 140 pictures and videos of other minor victims.

He was convicted of child porn possession in 2020 and was required to register as a sex offender. Authorities say Anderson-Baldwin was on probation when he committed the production offense.

After serving his prison sentence, Anderson-Baldwin will be under supervised release for 25 years.
