The 46th Annual Saintly City Cat Club Championship Cat Show is kicking off at the Saint Paul RiverCentre from Jan. 28-29.

More than 200 cats from as many as 26 different breeds will be judged in four different categories. Those categories are kittens, championship, premiership and household pets.

“There are eight judges over the two-day period,” said Bobbi Weihrauch, the secretary for the Saintly City Cat Club. “They’re basically beauty contests.”

A “King” and “Queen” cat will be caped and crowned on Sunday afternoon by a member of the Saint Paul Winter Carnival Royalty.
