Inmate pleads guilty to drug charges

A current federal inmate has entered a guilty to federal drug charge.

Federal prosecutors say on Monday, 39-year-old Nickolas William Mihelic pleaded guilty to two charges of Attempting to Obtain Contraband in Prison.

Prosecutors allege Mihelic conspired with another person to mail pieces of paper to him at the Sandstone facility that were saturated with liquid methamphetamine.

Prison officials seized the contraband when the papers arrived at the facility.

As of this time, a sentencing hearing for Mihelic hasn’t been provided.
