Ice Castles to return to New Brighton this winter
Winter is still a couple of months away, although Monday’s temperatures may make that hard to believe. Still, plans are underway already to bring a frozen fortress back to the Twin Cities.
The popular Ice Castles attraction announced Monday that it will be back at Long Lake Regional Park in New Brighton this winter.
The site is crafted by around 20 ice artisans and features slides, caverns, tunnels and other amazing ice sculptures. This year, the attraction is also debuting a new ice bar with a selection of adult beverages.
“Winter is such a magical time of year,” Ice Castles CEO Kyle Standifird said. “We’re honored to be returning to beautiful Long Lake Regional Park and have some fun new discoveries and surprises in store for guests of all ages.”
The attraction’s opening date depends on the weather but usually opens in early to mid-January.
Tickets will go on sale online starting on Nov. 28.
This will be Ice Castles’ eighth year in the Twin Cities.
