Horse killed in Wabasha County, sheriff's office asking for information
A horse was shot and killed Thursday in rural Wabasha County.
According to a release from the Wabasha Sheriff's Office, deputies called to a rural Mazeppa address at 1:30 p.m. Thursday on the report of a horse being shot and killed.
When deputies arrived, they located a horse that had been killed by a single gunshot wound to the head.
The reporting party had been assisting the owners of the horse in caregiving and had previously been seen the animal alive at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
