Hazardous waste spill reported at Maple Grove UPS facility, building evacuated

A UPS facility in Maple Grove was evacuated after a hazardous waste spill was reported Thursday morning, according to statements from UPS.
The spill was reported at about 5 a.m. at the processing facility located near Valley Forge Lane and 85th Avenue North.
UPS said authorities arrived and the building was evacuated. UPS also reported just before 5 p.m. Thursday that the building is back in operation.
No injuries were reported.
It is unknown at this time how many employees were at the facility. The hazardous substance has not been identified.
