Bullets hit two homes in Brooklyn Park, no injuries

A family in Brooklyn Park found damage to their home from a bullet Sunday morning.

According to the Brooklyn Park Police, officers responded to the 8200 block of Yates Avenue for the report of a gunshot.

The family told officers they had heard a loud noise around 6 a.m. and found damage to a room in their home from an apparent bullet hours later.

No one was injured, but two children had been sleeping in the room that sustained the bullet damage, police say.

Officers also found gunshot damage to another home nearby. No one at that residence was injured either.

No arrests have been made. The incident is under investigation.
