Guatemalan woman pleads guilty to illegal re-entry, false representation of social security number

A convicted felon who was charged in Minnesota in December 2019 has pleaded guilty to one count each of illegal reentry after removal and false representation of Social Security account number.

According to the United States Attorney's Office, Olga Marina Franco del Cid, 36, entered her guilty plea Monday morning in U.S. District Court in St. Paul. She will be sentenced on June 11.

Documents filed in court state Franco del Cid was previously removed from the United States on May 4, 2016, following a felony conviction on Aug. 8, 2008, in Lyon County for criminal vehicular homicide. That incident involved a crash that killed four students on a school bus in Cottonwood. 

On Nov. 26, 2019, she was found in the country in violation of the previous removal. Franco del Cid also admitted to falsely representing a Social Security number on an Employment Eligibility Verification Form I-9.
