Great River Water Park to reopen under COVID-19 guidelines in St. Paul

The city of St. Paul announced on Friday that Great River Water Park, located at Oxford Community Center, is scheduled to reopen on Saturday for lap swim and water aerobics.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) guidelines will be in place and advance reservations will be required.

"We look forward to resuming services at our indoor aquatics facility," said Mike Hahm, St. Paul Parks and Recreation director. "We take the current public health guidance seriously and will use this as an opportunity to understand how we can continue to be both safe and successful as we bring additional programs and services back online."

Reservations can be made up to 24 hours in advance by calling 651-642-0650 or by going online.

Guests will be required to follow all health guidelines, rules and procedures, including:

  • Arriving no earlier than 15 minutes before each scheduled reservation.
  • Maintaining a 6-foot distance from those outside their household at all times, including locker rooms, the pool deck and in the water.
  • Showering prior to pool use.
