18-year-old dead after Grant County head-on crash
The Minnesota State Patrol released initial information about a crash that left an 18-year-old dead on Sunday afternoon.
Preliminary reports indicate that a Chevrolet Impala and a Chevrolet Silverado were traveling in opposite directions on Highway 79 near Sanford Township when the two vehicles collided head-on just before 4:30 p.m.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 23-year-old man from Brandon was taken to Prarie Ridge Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Impala driver passed away as a result of the crash.
It is unclear what led to the crash, but so far the State Patrol believes that alcohol was not a factor.
Monday morning, the driver of the Impala was identified by the State Patrol as Tyler Stone from Hoffman, Minnesota.
This incident is still under investigation by the State Patrol, no further information is available at this time.
