Gov. Tim Walz has ordered all flags at half-staff in honor of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who was assassinated Friday.
Walz’s order comes after a proclamation from President Joe Biden.
All flags at state and federal buildings are to fly flags at half-staff until sunset on Sunday, and individuals and businesses are encouraged to join in lowering their flags.
