The University of Minnesota football team will have two spring practices open to the public so fans can watch the team prepare for the upcoming season.

According to the university, practices on April 5 and April 16 will be open to the public and free to attend. Their location will be announced closer to the practice dates, but the April 5 practice is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. while the April 16 practice is set to start at 11 a.m.

In addition, the Gophers will have their annual spring game – which is also free to attend – at 1 p.m. on April 30 at Huntington Bank Stadium. The program encourages fans to bring decorated oars to the spring game so they can be added to the hallway inside the stadium where players walk to the field on game days.

Additionally, the team will host its annual diaper drive during the spring game. Fans are encouraged to bring diapers and drop them off outside the stadium near Tribal Nations Plaza so they can be donated to the Diaper Bank of Minnesota for families in need. The university says more than 100,000 diapers have been donated in the past five years.
