New Mill City Museum exhibit focuses on George Floyd’s death

A new exhibit is opening Thursday at the Mill City Museum.

The museum says the exhibit, called “Documenting a Reckoning: The Murder of George Floyd”, examines the year in the Twin Cities from Floyd’s death through the guilty verdict of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, as documented by more than 50 images.

Museum officials say the exhibit’s goal is to highlight the people and events that changed the region and also showcase powerful photos from that time.

The free exhibit runs through June 5, and is open to the public.
