Friday marks final Free Park Day of 2022

Minnesotans who are looking to get outside and move around on Friday can take advantage of the final “Free Park Day” of the year.

For Friday only, all Minnesota state parks and recreation areas have free admission.

The city’s goal is to get families and friends to spend time together while enjoying Minnesota’s great outdoors. Friday is also forecast to be nearly 50 degrees and sunny, making it a great day to be out.

The fee-free day is something the state offers once each season every year, so if you’re not able to make it out on Friday, you’ll still have four chances next year.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources says state parks are also open year-round, and most Minnesotans are within 30 miles of a state park.
