Authorities are investigating the case of an overnight fire in Mounds View that damaged a home.

Crews could be found just before 1 a.m. Monday on Greenwood Drive near Long Lake Road, flames were spotted coming from the roof amid lots of smoke.

Deputy Fire Chief Matthew Grantz says crews initially took a defensive approach until more personnel arrived but were then able to get inside and successfully extinguish the flames.

Fortunately, nobody was hurt.

It wasn’t immediately clear what might have caused the fire or how much damage the flames caused.
