Final Thought: Remembering Bill Laimer

Brainerd Lakes Area PGA Professional Bill Laimer passed away in January from non-smoking lung cancer. Because of the pandemic, family and friends were not able to have a proper funeral.
On Thursday they made up for that with the Bill Laimer Memorial Golf Tournament at Grand View Lodge on Gull Lake. Hundreds of friends, many from the north side of Brainerd where Laimer grew up, celebrated his life. A fitting goodbye to honor a man who loved golf and his family and friends very much.
