Fiery crash temporarily closes portion of I-35W in New Brighton

5 EYEWITNESS NEWS is working to gather more information about a vehicle fire along Interstate 35W that shut down traffic overnight into Tuesday.
The crash happened around 12:30 a.m. just north of County Road D in New Brighton.
The vehicle burned for several minutes and traffic was at a standstill until crews were able to extinguish the fire.
Officials have not yet released information on whether anyone was hurt or what might have caused the fire.
