FBI finds missing Illinois 14-year-old in NE Minneapolis

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) says the agency found a missing Illinois girl at a residence in northeast Minneapolis Wednesday.

An FBI spokesperson confirmed to 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS authorities were called to the area of 3200 Buchanan St. NE where a law enforcement operation took place.

The 14-year-old was reported missing in December after traveling from Nauvoo, Illinois to Keokuk, Iowa with a family member. The girl was left with a family friend at the time.

The FBI says the teen was uninjured, but no additional information is available. The case is being investigated by the FBI’s Omaha division.
