FBI investigating Fridley bank robbery

Fridley Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Tuesday afternoon.

Fridley and Columbia Heights police departments were dispatched at 3:44 p.m. to a Huntington Bank in the 5200 block of Central Avenue Northeast for a report of a robbery.

Police say that two African-American males assaulted an employee and demanded cash after entering the bank.

The suspects fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The incident is still under investigation.

Huntington Bank is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects involved.
