Family displaced from Vadnais Heights house after fire

A Vadnais Heights family is unable to return to their house Thursday after an overnight fire.

The fire happened around midnight on Oakhurst Avenue, which is about a mile west of Interstate 35E on the city's north side.

Firefighters told a KSTP crew at the scene that a neighbor saw the fire and reported it.

Firefighters said no one was hurt as a result of the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
