Fair State Brewing in Minneapolis to require proof of vaccination

Fair State Brewing Cooperative taproom will be requiring patrons to require proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test from within 72 hours to drink inside the taproom starting Friday, Dec. 10.

The business said the decision was made following conversations with co-op members, staff and the community, citing recent COVID-19 trends and the new variant among other pandemic concerns.

The new policy will also apply to upcoming events including the Holiday Stout Explosion on Dec. 16 and Festivus on Dec. 23.

In order to accommodate unvaccinated customers, the Northeast Minneapolis taproom is allowing outdoor seating and ordering from the beer garden. Guests will order using a QR code. The beer garden is covered and heated during the winter months.

Additionally, placing an online to-go beer order and picking it up at the brewery remains an option for all guests.

Fair State notes in their FAQ on the new policy that rapid at-home tests and screenshots and printouts of test results will not be accepted. However, a negative test from the Minnesota Department of Health or an email from the guest’s testing provider will allow admission.
