Ex-Robbinsdale City Council member pleads guilty to DWI
A former Robbinsdale City Council member has pleaded guilty to drunken driving.
Tuesday morning, 38-year-old Tyler Kline pleaded guilty to two counts of DWI and one count of fleeing police. His sentencing is set for Aug. 12.
Kline was arrested in January after a wrong-way crash and police chase on Highway 100. When he was finally stopped by police, tests showed his blood-alcohol concentration was 0.20, according to a criminal complaint.
Kline then resigned from the Robbinsdale City Council last month, saying it “was not an easy decision to make, but the right one for me and my family.”
The council has declared a special election to fill his seat.
