During a rush at a restaurant, Minneapolis police officer steps in to help take orders
A Minneapolis police officer is being credited for going beyond the call of duty.
After a problem in the kitchen at Lotus Restaurant last weekend, Officer Tim Baskin stepped in uniform to help take three orders.
The owner of the restaurant posted a picture of Baskin helping on Facebook. The photo went viral.
"We were about 30 to 45 minutes behind in orders," owner Yoom Nguyen said. "What he did is ‘Hey, I’m going to take some orders.’ I said "Great.’ I look back and he’s really taking orders"
"They are such good people I just thought I would help out a little bit," Baskin said.
Nguyen said Baskin can always have a job at the restaurant.
