Duluth man arrested on 11 pending hit-and-run charges Sunday
A Duluth man has been taken into custody after driving under the influence and hitting nearly a dozen vehicles Sunday morning, police say.
According to a release from the Duluth Police Department, around 9:15 a.m., police officers responded to the 9400 block of Grand Avenue for multiple calls of an individual driving recklessly and hitting cars. Officers tracked down the driver who was identified as 41-year-old Duluth resident Matthew Burcar.
Burcar ditched the vehicle and fled on foot near Redeemer Lutheran Church. Officers set up a perimeter and soon apprehended him.
Burcar was booked in the St. Louis County Jail at 3:30 p.m. pending charges of 11 counts of hit and run and DWI control substance. No bail amount has been set.
