The Minnesota Department of Public Safety has reopened its REAL ID office at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

The office opened in March but was forced to close just weeks later because of COVID-19.

REAL IDs will be required to board flights in the United States starting in October 2021. The date had been pushed back one full year back in spring.

If someone needs a REAL ID, the office can help those through the process once an appointment is made.

A REAL ID appointment can be scheduled even on the day of the flight, but make sure to get there early to take care of it.
