DPS: Over 113K Minnesotans now have invalid licenses, IDs
More than 113,000 Minnesotans now have invalid driver’s licenses, instruction permits or ID cards, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety said Thursday.
Wednesday was the last day of the COVID-19 extension for licenses, permits and ID cards.
DPS said the 113,814 affected Minnesotans don’t have to take any additional testing as long as the license expired less than a year ago and was in good standing prior to that.
Options are available to those who want to renew their expired card in-person or online.
