Downtown Minneapolis Street Art Festival returns to Nicollet and Hennepin
The 2020 Downtown Minneapolis Street Art Festival returns on Monday.
The event has adjusted to provide social distancing due to the COVID-19 pandemic. According to a news release, the event is organized by the Minneapolis Downtown Improvement District (DID) and Hennepin Theatre Trust (HTT).
Over the past weekend, street artists completed their work, making it so they would be ready for Monday.
The event states that over the following weeks, the art will be available for viewing on Nicollet and Hennepin avenues. Art can also be viewed through a virtual experience as well as the Minneapolis Street Art Festival social media channels. The street art is scattered and available for viewing at the public’s own pace, whenever time allows, to provide ample social distancing.
Art will be available for viewing, weather permitting, as rain may impact the art’s duration. The event begins Monday and will extend throughout next month.
