Direct flights from MSP to London return

Air travelers can once again fly directly to London from the Twin Cities.

Trips to the city will pick back up as Delta, as of Monday, has restarted its direct flight from MSP to London’s Heathrow Airport.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for Monday afternoon right before the first flight leaves, which is shortly before 6 p.m.

Delta says London has been the most popular transoceanic international destination from MSP since the 1980s.

Flights to Heathrow from MSP ended in the spring of 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic was beginning. As previously reported, airlines suspended 90 routes from MSP as many states discouraged unnecessary travel.
