Day 5: ‘Mental Health Awareness Day’ and ‘State Patrol Day’ at the state fair

Monday is Day 5 of the Minnesota State Fair.

According to fair organizers, it’s "Mental Health Awareness Day" at the fair. From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Dan Patch Park, fair visitors can talk with representatives of more than 50 organizations to learn about mental health resources via games and activities, music, performances, yoga and more.

It’s also "Minnesota State Patrol Day" at the fair. From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the North End, the state patrol will hold demonstrations and presentations. Visitors can also see vintage and modern state patrol vehicles as part of the exhibit.

Additionally, stock dog sheepherding trials are set to take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Warner Coliseum and the Draft Horse Supreme Six-Horse Hitch event is taking place in the Warner Coliseum at 2 p.m.

The Spinners are set to perform with Little Anthony & The Imperials as well as The Grass Roots at 7 p.m. at the Grandstand.

The fair lasts until Labor Day, Sept. 6. and tickets can be brought online or at the fair.
