COVID-19 in Wisconsin: 52 new deaths, 840 new cases

Thursday, Wisconsin health officials announced 52 new deaths related to COVID-19, moving the state’s total to 6,394 deaths since the pandemic began.
Additionally, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) reported 61 new hospitalizations, moving the total number of hospitalizations during the pandemic to 25,954.
A total of 562,151 positive cases of COVID-19 have now been confirmed in Wisconsin, with 840 new cases reported Thursday.

As of Thursday, DHS reports that more than 3.17 million people have been tested in the state.
The state’s seven-day average positivity rate by test is at 2.4%.
DHS said the state has been allocated 1,625,875 vaccine doses so far. Of those, 1,281,901 had been administered as of Thursday, and 411,717 people had completed the two-shot vaccine series.
