COVID-19 in Wisconsin: 5 new deaths, 727 new cases
Wednesday, Wisconsin health officials reported five new deaths related to COVID-19, moving the state’s total to 6,653 deaths since the pandemic began.
Additionally, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) reported 25 new hospitalizations, moving the total number of hospitalizations during the pandemic to 27,894.
A total of 581,797 positive cases of COVID-19 have now been confirmed in Wisconsin, with 727 new cases reported Wednesday.

As of Wednesday, DHS reports that more than 3.33 million people have been tested in the state.
The state’s seven-day average positivity rate by test is at 3.5%.
DHS said the state has been allocated more than 3.36 million vaccine doses so far. Of those, 3.19 million had been administered as of Wednesday, and over 1.22 million people had completed the two-shot vaccine series.
