COVID-19 in Wisconsin: 5 new deaths, 709 new cases
Friday, Wisconsin health officials reported five new deaths related to COVID-19, moving the state’s total to 6,703 deaths since the pandemic began.
Additionally, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) reported 69 new hospitalizations, moving the total number of hospitalizations during the pandemic to 28,462.
A total of 589,213 positive cases of COVID-19 have now been confirmed in Wisconsin, with 709 new cases reported Friday.

As of Friday, DHS reports that more than 3.38 million people have been tested in the state.
The state’s seven-day average positivity rate by test is at 3.6%.
DHS said 3.69 million vaccine doses had been administered as of Friday, and over 1.50 million people had completed the two-shot vaccine series.
