COVID-19 in Wisconsin: 1 new death, 543 new cases

Monday, Wisconsin health officials announced one new death related to COVID-19, moving the state’s total to 6,055 deaths since the pandemic began.

Additionally, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) reported 34 new hospitalizations, moving the total number of hospitalizations during the pandemic to 24,919.

A total of 550,369 positive cases of COVID-19 have now been confirmed in Wisconsin, with 543 new cases reported Monday.

As of Monday, DHS reports that more than 3.08 million people have been tested in the state.

The state’s seven-day average positivity rate by test is at 4.2%.

DHS said the state has been allocated 986,275 vaccine doses so far. Of those,767,020 had been administered as of Monday, and 165,370 people had completed the two-shot vaccine series.
