Prosecutors: Cottage Grove man pleads guilty to robbing 3 banks in 1 month
A Cottage Grove man has pleaded guilty to one count of bank robbery after court documents state he robbed three banks in one month last year.
According to the United States Attorney’s Office, 43-year-old Michael Prall robbed a U.S. Bank in Bloomington, a Bremer Bank in Woodbury and a Wells Fargo bank in Cottage Grove.
Prosecutors say the string of robberies happened in November — the Bloomington bank on Nov. 5, where he stole more than $2,500; on Nov. 19, prosecutors say he took more than $4,500 from the Woodbury bank; and on Nov. 30, about $775 was stolen from the Cottage Grove bank.
Prall allegedly used force, violence and intimidation during the robberies.
A sentencing date has not yet been scheduled.
