Coon Rapids police officer dies unexpectedly, served department for 31 years

Officer Greg Koss, who served with the Coon Rapids Police Department for 31 years, died unexpectedly on Monday, the department said.

Koss worked as a patrol officer, field training officer, firearms instructor and narcotics detective over his three decades with the Coon Rapids Police Department.

"This is a tremendous loss to the law enforcement community, and Greg will always be remembered for his welcoming personality, positive attitude and gentle smile," the department wrote in a social media post.
