Cool, breezy conditions expected for Grandma’s Marathon

Runners are descending upon Duluth this weekend for Grandma’s Marathon.

The race starts Saturday morning, and 9,000 runners are expected to make the 26.2-mile journey from Two Harbors to Duluth.

Registration is currently sold out.

Hubbard Broadcasting affiliate WDIO-TV reports race conditions will be chilly in the morning, as temperatures are expected to drop into the 40s. An east wind is also expected, and temperatures should be in the 50s along the race route and in the Canal Park area. Cloud cover is expected to increase throughout the day.

Anyone participating in the 5K Friday evening should expect temperatures in the upper 60s, as well as low dew points.
