Construction worker dead after incident in downtown St. Paul

Police in Saint Paul are investigating a fatal accident at a construction site near East Seventh Street and Wabasha Street North.
A 61-year-old man – identified on Thursday by police and the Ramsey County Medical Examiner as Peter Davis of Stillwater – died from injuries after being struck by a truck around 3:30 p.m.
The victim had been working on a road project when the incident occurred, and authorities say that at this time there is no indication of impairment or criminal intent.
Saint Paul Fire Department medics declared the man dead at the scene.
A police spokesperson says more details will be made public as they become available.
The incident is still being investigated.
