For gamers, role players, lightsaber fighters and steampunks, there is a space where all are welcome.

"This place is, as far as we know it, relatively unique in the world," Seth Chmelik, president of Geek Partnership Society, said. "It is a place for a community of all geeky, nerdy, dorky people to come together and share their wonderful interests."

The pandemic has forced the Geek Partnership Society to stop holding events, and now those involved in the society might be without a gathering place.

However, the society is launching an effort to raise money to keep its programming and its space alive.

"Community can’t be community if there’s nobody around to be a part of it," Chmelik said.
