Community members gathered to clean up a prospective Muslim cemetery after officials say it was vandalized.

On Sunday, CAIR Minnesota organized the cleanup at Al Mafirah Cemetery near Farmington. People from many faiths came from across the metro to help.

"Today, really, it’s a true test of our community that we came out to support, to clean up after their mess to show them we are not going anywhere — that we are more united now than we’ve been before," Jaylani Hussein, CAIR-MN’s executive director, said.

Someone cut the gas lines at the site earlier this month in an effort to damage the building, organizers explained. Combined with another act of vandalism in 2017, the damage totals $150,000.

CAIR-MN told KSTP that there is a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
